What To Expect
My Aerial classes for children run weekly in St Leonards - on - Sea. Children can choose from either Aerial Hoop (ages 8-16) or Aerial Hammocks/ Slings (ages 7-16).

Each class is 45 minutes long and starts with a full body warm up. We then do some fun conditioning exercises using the aerial equipment - this builds confidence and coordination and gets the children ready for class and learning new tricks.

The main portion of the class is spent learning tricks and combos that are based on the child's level at the time.
​
Parents are welcome and encouraged to stay, we have a beautiful waiting area with bean bags and chairs, wifi, a kettle and cups and plenty of space for siblings to sit and watch. Parents can also sit in the studio (unfortunately I can't allow siblings that aren't in class, in the actual studio area, for safety reasons)
​
Please make sure your child is on time for class, if they miss the warm up they will not be allowed to join.
What Should My Child Wear & Bring To Class?
For both Hoop and Hammocks children should wear leggings (or similar) that are stretchy and cover the legs.
Shorts or tracksuit bottoms are not recommended.
Long sleeve or short sleeve tops or leotards that cover the armpits, stomach and back. Vest tops are not recommended.

Because of the friction of moving on the aerial equipment, skin can get bruised or sore, this is why we recommend covering as much as possible.
​
Socks are optional.
​
Children taking part in Aerial Hoop may complain of sore hands after class. This is completely normal. Using some E45 or similar after class can keep the hands from becoming too dry and sore.
​
Children should bring their own water bottle, this can be refilled here if needed. We do have cups, but their own bottle is preferred.
​
Please make sure you leave enough time for your child to get changed before class, if needed. There are toilets for them to change in at the studio.
